Please find attached informations for

a) New bore well to ensure full water for all Katagiri project and specially the water supply for the school.

The 'centering' for the roof slab is in good progress. The BEAM for the roof is 60% completed.

The 'false' ceiling for the roof slab is ready schedule 19th May. All roof slab works should be completed by May 29th as per schedule.

It would be appreciated if funds were available soon please.

This young man is a junior Engineer. He is the building site supervisor. He checks that the contractor is doing correct.

We have now completed the new water bore well. This will ensure sufficient water for all Katagiri project buildings and the bathroom and toilet in the new school the Bore well is 70 mt deep.

The Director, Mr. Rose discuses the plan for drilling.

The work is getting ready for the roof. We say roof slab. All material are on site. We will know the date for making the slab on Friday.

These are the very strong special pipes that went into the ground. At the top there are steel galvanized pipes for 7 mt. All this was supervised by the Director.

The children celebrated when the water was found and the pipes put in and all completed.

「夢のまた夢」とあきらめていた、認可学校の建設がいよいよ始まります。

　2009年4月30日、新潟県のボランティア団体「世界の恵まれない地域に小学校を作る会」（石川幸夫会長）からの心あふれる申し出で、「子どもの憩いの村」に小学校（中学校併設）を建設することになりました。

　「世界の恵まれない地域に小学校を作る会」からの資金提供は建物限定で、2009年10月に着工し2011年3月完成の予定です（トイレ設備、水周り及び設備、備品、教材・教具は「爽」企画室の担当です）。教職員の手配や育成なども含め、正式に開学準備が整うのは2012年３月の予定です。

　教室8室、ポーチ（玄関）、長いベランダ、特別室２室、職員室となります。1教室に40人、全校で320人が学べる規模です。（下記図面参照）
　インドでは、義務教育の小学校は5年制、中学校は３年制です。今まで学んでいた老朽校舎（わずか２室の粗末なものでした）は、幼児の保育園として使うことになります。

　建物建設の資金は、チャリティコンサートの収益金です。コンサートの開催は今後3年間に年1回ずつで「小学校を作る会」主催ですが、私どももチケット販売に汗を流さねばなりません。当日は、バザーやパネル展も開催します。（第一回寄付金授与式とパネル展・講演会の様子）

　私ども「爽」企画室としては、さらに机やいす、黒板等の備品に教材教具、それに、学校にはどうしても必要なトイレの設備等の資金作りもあります。特に水洗トイレについては、インドのこの地方ではめったに設置されておらず、学校での使用は、子どもへの衛生教育はもとより、近隣地域への啓発にもつながります。今回は貯水タンクにより水を自然からまかない、浄化槽により水の再利用と農園で使用する肥料の製造も行う見通しです。人と自然による資源の循環に配慮した水洗トイレの設置は、今後、ますます重要な役割を担う設備となると考えられます。
