私たちは初めに二つの課題を設定しました。
We set up two subjects first.

一つ目は、分かりやすく言うと、北米・ヨーロッパ・アジアとを結ぶ世界的な哲学のセンターになることです。
When blindness in one eye is said plainly, it is becoming the center of global philosophy which connects North America and Europe Asia.
つまり、世界の哲学研究体制は従来、西ヨーロッパと北アメリカの二極構造にとどまっていました。
That is, the philosophy research organization in the world remained in the bipolar structure of West Europe and North America conventionally.

それに対し、西洋中心主義の限界を突破する第３の極を形成し、K-①日本を中心とした東アジアの哲学研究と教育のレベル、認知度
を国際的な水準にまで高めたいと考えています。
I formed the 3rd pole which breaks through the limit of a Western center principle to it, and think that he wants to raise philosophy research of East Asia centering on K-(1) Japan, an educational level, and name recognition even to an international level.

ですから私たちの一番の目標は、哲学という名前で、日本発の国際センターとしての機能を５年間維持することですね。
Therefore, our first target is a name of philosophy, and is maintaining the function as an international Japan center for five years.

そして、５年間に仕込んだ出会いがうんと広がっていくことを期待しています。
And it is expected that the encounter taught in five years will spread with great force.

１０年後、１５年後に我々の若手研究者のつながりで、世界的哲学の交流が起こるだろうと思っています。
I think that exchange of global philosophy will take place by relation of our young researcher ten years and 15 years after.

２１世紀の人類社会は、さまざまな課題に直面しています。
The human-beings society in the 21st century is faced with various subjects.
そういう人類の本質的な諸問題を概存の学問分野にこだわらず、すなわち超域的科学とのインターフェイスを通じて知の全体を横断して解決する為の、新たな総合「哲学」を形成すること。
Don't adhere many essential problems of such a human beings to the learning field of 概存, namely, form the new synthesis "philosophy" for crossing and solving the whole 知 through an interface with super-region-science.

これが私たちのセンターの二つ目の目標です。
This is the second target of our center.
